PETIT 1936 - 2004 Peacefully on February 21, 2004, with his family by his side, Mr. Albert Petit of Winnipeg passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Jeannette (Manaigre) daughter Diane (Cecil) Coates; sons, Gilles, Denis (Elly) of Edmonton, AB, Alain (Michelle) of Georgetown, ON; and 10 beautiful grand-children. Albert also leaves to mourn his sisters, Sr. Rita Petit (OMI), Therese (Alfred) Chartrand; brothers, Ernest (Rolande), Rene (Lucille) sisters-in-law, Marie-Reine Ross, Simone Gosselin, Monique (Marcel) Jacques; brothers-in-law, Guy (Denise) Manaigre, Alfred (Claire) Manigre, Andre (Ghislaine) Manaigre; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edmond Petit (1954), Lucie (Dumaine) Petit (1969) his daughter Aline (1995) and his sister Agnes Haddock (1998). Albert spent most of his life in Ile-des-Chenes, MB where he worked on the family farm and raised his family till they moved to Edmonton, AB in 1980. Albert and Jeannette later retired back to Winnipeg in 1998. He was a hardworking, generous and loving man with a smile for everyone. He will be sadly missed by his large family and many friends. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and staff of 7A West, the Palliative Care Unit and the Cancer Care Clinic at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at LEglise Precieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny St. in St-Boniface, on Thursday, February 26 at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will take place one-half hour prior to the service. A private ceremony for the interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at the Petit family plot in Ile-des-Chenes, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Care Clinic at the S.B.G.H. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
