GERRI PALSON October 21, 1942 - February 22, 2004 After a short courageous battle with cancer, Gerri passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2004, at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora, ON. She leaves behind her loving husband Fred Palson; daughters, Lynn (Jim, Serena, Shane, Gracie) Neil of Fox Creek, AB, and Holly (John, Dannie, Tom, Cheryl) Wharton of Edmonton, AB; and son Mike (Patti, Cody, Kylie) Grobelny of Kenora, ON; also surviving are brothers, Richard and Mary Pettifier and Jim and Jan Pettifier, all of Three Hills, AB; sister Ellen and Riener Ficker of Thunder Bay, ON; and her extended family, Wayne, Cynthia, Clyde, Calvin, Ward and family; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends, Jim, Joyce, Phyllis, Diane; and the group at TOPS. Gerri was a heartfelt person who endlessly volunteered her time to many - most recently as a conveyer at the Hospital Gift Shop. She had a great sense of humour and always enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Beveridge, Dr. Sas, Carol, Kim, and the countless people on the Third Floor Palliative Care Ward and Chemo Ward for their care and support. A memorial service to celebrate Gerris life will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kenora Community Funeral Home with The Rev. Canon Catherine Giroux officiating. Gerri will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Kenora District Unit, P.O.
