VALERIE EVA STARANCHUK (nee WACHAL) Valerie left us suddenly on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at her residence at the age of 59 years. Her memory will be cherished and very sadly missed by her beloved husband Brian; son Todd and his wife Bonnie; and Valeries grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Travis, Cyril, Josh and Erin. Valerie will also leave a void in the lives of her sister Jackie Simpson and her husband Tom and their family of Vancouver, BC, and her brother Lloyd and his wife Lesley and their family of Birds Hill. She will also be greatly missed by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and ever so many friends, with a special mention of her dear Auntie Anne. Valerie was born on Friday, July 21, 1944, and raised in the Birds Hill area. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Eva Wachal both in the 1980s. Valerie was a beautiful person, very kind and understanding. We will miss her sense of humour very much. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 5819 Henderson Hwy., with Rev. The family at this time would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the East St. Paul Police and Rescue for their help. In lieu of flowers, the family requests and would appreciate donations be made in Valeries memory to the Ukrainian National Cemetery, in care of Mr. Lorne Skolovy, 363 Waugh Rd., East St. Paul, MB R2E 1E5. Love Thy Neighbour Valerie, has been my neighbour for the past seven years. She is my cousin, and she is very nice. She looks after the kids on the street for free, and never asks for anything. She also has excellent candies for Halloween, and spends lots of time helping out people whenever they need it. Valerie is definitely the kind of person that I think she should get some kind of award for being the kind of person she is. COLE 2003 VICHNAYA PAMYAT KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 1020 MAIN STREET 582-0973
