BERNICE (BERNIE) CHARTIER (nee CARRIERE) August 4, 1962 - February 23, 2004 With saddened hearts, the family and dear friends of Bernie Chartier announce her passing after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father Honore; brother Leonard and the familys loving Mr. Brown. Bernie leaves to cherish her memory, her partner of 21 years Dina; her adored son Ryan; mother Yvonne Carriere (nee Dumont) brothers, Gil (Linda), Ray (Carol), Victor; sisters, Germaine (Garth), Rose (Carl), Lisa (Lenny) brother-in-law Harvey; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; the mutually adopted Gauthier/Campbell family; our Sarah and all her valued and loving friends. Bernie was a very special person, loving, kind, gentle and thoughtful who loved to laugh, spend time and share stories with her family and friends. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and support staff of CancerCare, Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface Hospital, Home Care and the Palliative Care programs at Riverview and especially St. Boniface 8th floor for their respect, care and comfort. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will held on Friday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m also at the chapel. Pallbearers are Lisa Champagne, Jacquie McLeod, Sharon Wilson, Grant Fleury, Ernest Head and Melvin Pangman. Flowers are gratefully declined.
