DOROTHY IRENE DUNSMORE With her family at her side to comfort her, Dorothy Dunsmore passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the age of 85. Left to cherish her memory are Dorothys daughter Karen; son Ken and his wife Cathy; granddaughter Erin; grandson Troy and his wife Maureen and their sons Noah and Matthew. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Murray in 1995, her parents George and Amelia Geib and brothers, Willard, Leonard and Robert. Mum was born in Winnipeg on Tuesday, September 10, 1918. She attended school in Elmwood and North Kildonan. She met Murray in 1940 and they were married on Wednesday, February 5, 1941. Dads Second World War air force service took him to many places in Western Canada and Mum accompanied him to locations in Alberta and British Columbia. Dorothy was dedicated to her family. She had many interests; she loved music and singing. Mum will also be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour. At the personal care home were Mum lived for her last years, people often commented on her singing, her smile and her bright blue eyes. Mother was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in 1968. She said some of her happiest times were spent in service. She loved Jehovah and her faith remained strong. We extend our sincere thanks to staff at the Convalescent Home for their compassionate care. Flowers are gratefully declined, but if friends so wish, a donation in Mums memory can be made to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo St. North, Winnipeg, MB R3M 2N6, or a charity of ones choice. Funeral service will be on Thursday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., with Brother Robertus Berkers officiating. Interment to follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 1020 MAIN STREET 582-0973
