Born: Dec 21, 1935
Date of Passing: Feb 23, 2004
Offer Condolences or MemoryINGEBORG LEMKE (nee REISEL) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of their wife and mother, Ingeborg Lemke, peacefully on February 23, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Inge will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Eduard; sons, Ron (Debbie) and Dennis, and daughter Monica (Sam) Lercara; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel and Rebecca Lemke and Julia Lercara. She is also survived by her mother, Elfrieda Wickerham; brother Dieter (Renate) Reisel and sisters, Monica (Erwin) Kielich and Brigitte (George) Willse; several nieces and nephews; aunt Ruth (Wolfgang) Castelsky and uncle Hans-Moritz (llona) Reisel; sisters-in-law, Anna-Marie Lylyk and Wanda (Hannes) Tober. Born in Germany on December 21, 1935, Inge and her family moved to Winnipeg in February 1954. She later met Ed and in 1960 they were married. Ed and Inge settled in Fort Garry where they raised their family during their many happy years of marriage. Inge was a gentle, considerate and loving person who was truly devoted to her family. Ed and Inge spent many happy years vacationing at their trailer at the lake. One of her favourite things was to pick mushrooms and blueberries in the woods. Those times together have left special memories. She was wonderfully gifted at knitting, cooking, baking tortes, growing flowers and vegetables and her gardens were always beautiful. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff of the Palliative Care Program and the St. Boniface Hospital whose compassion helped us all through a very difficult time. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Mission Link, in care of 955 Wilkes Ave. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 1531 Pembina Hwy. 284-7500
