Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM "BILL" RICHARD SOUTHWOOD 1907 - 2004 Bill Southwood passed away on February 21, 2004 at The Betel Home in Gimli, MB. We will all miss him dearly. Bill and Norah moved to Gimli from Winnipeg in July of 2000. They moved to Winnipeg in 1972 after retiring from 39 years of service with the Churchill River Power Company in Island Falls, SK and Flin Flon, MB. Bill is survived by his wife Norah of 67 years, who resides at The Betel Home; daughter Ann (friend Len) in Gimli; son Dick (Donna) in Edmonton; grandchildren, Signi (George), John (Kerrie), Scott and Joy (Brad) great-grandchildren, Jesse, Elise, and Lily; sister Mabel of Toronto; and a brother Harry (Bettye) of Oshawa, ON. Bill was a great community worker and contributed a great deal to community life in the isolated village of Island Falls during all of his working years. He participated in activities at The Betel Home until very recently when failing health prevented it. Bills family would like to thank Dr. C. Chapnick and the wonderful staff at The Betel Home for their attentive care. Those we love dont go away They walk beside us everyday unseen, Unheard, but always near Loved and missed and very dear. At Bills request cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
