He will be missed by his wife Louise (Robin) and his two sons and two daughters, Armand (Charlotte Desbiens), Havre-Saint-Pierre, QC, and their three children, Tania, Karine and Pierre; Lilianne (Daniel Erickson), Leduc, AB, and their two children, Michelle and Tania; Paul-Emile (Rhonda Stearns), and stepson RJ, Winnipeg; and Edith (John Wylie), Winnipeg; as well as three great-grandchildren. Armand was predeceased by his first wife Valentine (Andree) his parents, Archelas and Clara (Potvin) Boulet; six brothers, Eugene, O.M.I., Denis, O.M.I., Wilfrid, Noel, Lionel and Gerard; and two sisters, Sister Rose Boulet (Grey Nun) and Yvonne Boulet. He is survived by two brothers, his twin Andre (Jean), Toronto, ON and Charles (Germaine), Winnipeg. He leaves to mourn many other nieces and nephews. Armand was born in Dunrea, MB, July 29, 1918. He was the 11th child in a family of 15 children. His father passed away when he was only four years old which meant that very young, having only completed grade three, he left school to work on the farm to help out the family. He served in the army as a truck driver during the Second World War. He married his first wife Valentine (Andree) in 1946 and worked as a shoemaker for one year in Elie, MB. From this union was born Armand Jr. Sadly, Valentine passed away from illness in 1952. Not being able to continue his shoemakers career due to back problems, Armand returned to school to complete his GED, which enabled him to start a new career with the Weather Bureau, where he worked until his retirement in 1983. He married Louise (Robin) in 1954 and from that union were born Lilianne, Paul-Emile and Edith. Devoted to his family, Armand was always prepared to lend a helping hand. He was also a strong supporter of his parish Sacre-Coeur, where he served on the finance committee for over 25 years. Very generous of nature, he supported several organizations, such as lA.M.M.I., which he held dear to his heart. He was always willing to assist and be of service to others and worked as a volunteer at Foyer Valade. He adored playing cards and was a member of two senior clubs, Vive la Joie and les Feuilles dOr. He was a joker and loved to laugh. The family wishes to thank everyone for their support, sympathy and love. We wish to thank the staff at 5B Medicine, St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care. Viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, at Sacre-Coeur Parish, 424 Brandon Ave., followed immediately by mass at 11:00 a.m. Green Acres Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 222-3241.
