HILDA MARJORIE DAVIES It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hilda Marjorie Davies at St. Boniface Hospital, on February 25, 2004, at the age of 89 years. Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Percy; and her brothers, Alvin, Henry, Bernie and Fred; and her sisters, Elsie, Martha, Evelyn and Gunda. Born in Morden, MB, Hilda moved to Winnipeg in her teens and settled there, devoting her life to her family. Hilda will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Alan and his wife Debby; daughter Janice and her husband Terry; grandchildren, Jenna and Sean; sister Marion; and brother Reynold (Susan) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. No love could be greater than this mothers love, who expressed it openly and sweetly, unconditionally and eternally. Oh, to look into those soft brown eyes, to listen to that comforting voice, to be touched by those gentle hands, and hugged by those caring arms. The kindness of her heart and the beauty of her unwavering devotion will be desperately missed, but it will also be deeply cherished forever by her children and grandchildren. Wed like to thank all our friends and family for their kind, comforting words during this very difficult time. Special thanks go to the staff of Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their excellent care of our mom. A private service will be held in Winnipeg, and a special memorial will also take place in Florida, in honour of our precious mom. A live oak, one of the most magnificent trees on earth, will be planted in her memory, and when it grows large with its strong, long-reaching branches, we will be reminded of how she always reached out to us with her love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. "Who ran to help me when I fell, and would some pretty story tell, Or kiss the place to make it well? My Mother."
