Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBORIS ALEXANDER SEMKIW September 2, 1930 - February 25, 2004 It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Boris Semkiw at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 73 years. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Leo (Trudy), Bill (Mandy), Bob (Eva) grandchildren, Kathy, Rebecca, Janet, Jason, Brendan and Brooke. great-grandchildren, Kyra, Brendan, Brady, Zennon, Damon and Liam; brother Bordon (Helen) and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Mahara, Gary Semkiw, Jason Zulyniak, Richard Hopps, Billy Hopps and John Hopps. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine (1990) and daughter Janine (1975) parents, William (1953) and Anna (1980) brothers, Paul (1982), Walter (1994), Ray (1997) sisters, Sylvia (1929), Alice (1947), Margaret (1984), Mary Anne (1976), Elizabeth (Bubbles)-(2000). Boris was born on September 2, 1930 in Winnipeg. He was a hardworking man. He owned and operated two service stations, later working at Alpine Texaco, and shop supervisor at Peoples Co-operative Garage, where he retired. The family would like to thank the staff on the third floor at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 in Boriss memory. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
