ROSE AGNES WALKER Peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB. after a hard fought battle Rose Agnes Walker aged 83 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Karen (Brian) Maxwell and one son Alex. She is survived by two brothers and one sister, Archie (Myrna) Stamm of Lockport, Ray (Shirley) Stamm of Hazelridge and Eileen Schultz of Camper along with many other relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1991; her parents, Charles and Agnes Stamm; four brothers; two sisters; and special friends, May and Cliff. Mom was born in Eriksdale on February 29, 1920, the second child of Charles and Agnes Stamm. Rose spent much of her youth working on the family farm. She moved to Carman in the 1950s where she later met and married Harold Walker in 1957. They farmed in the Roseisle area until retiring to Parkview manor at Carman in 1986. Mom loved playing cards, watching TV and doing word search puzzles, but her greatest enjoyment was being with people. Mom will be remembered as a loving, caring and generous person. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Viewing and prayers will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman on Friday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Grace St. Johns Anglican Church in Carman on Saturday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Interment will take place in the Graysville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or to a charity of ones choice.
