GEORGE JAMES BOULTON September 7,1923 - February 25,2004 Peacefully on Feb. 25,2004 at the Selkirk General Hospital, George Boulton, of Libau, MB., passed away at the age of 80 years. George was predeceased by his parents, James and Sophie, his wife, Violet in 1989, his son Clarence in 1957, brothers John in 1984 and Harry in 1981 and his sister Annie Mymko in 1981. He will be sadly missed by his children Jim, Larry, Don, David, Joanne (Proulx), Maryanne, Lorraine (Kozier) his grandchildren Allen, Tanys, Jennifer, Justin, Mathew, Tanner and Jesse; his sister Mary Nykoluk; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. George was born and raised in Libau and continued to raise his own family there. Aside from hobby farming, he retired from the Manitoba Rolling Mills in Selkirk where he worked as a steel worker for 24 years. Although he had moved from the farm in the last couple of years into a seniors block in Selkirk, his heart was never gone from the farm. He enjoyed sitting in front of the wood stove, watching the fire. It gave him great peace during his final days. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday March 1 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, for all their care and concern. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
