ANNE MURRAY (1913 - 2004) Peacefully on February 25, 2004 our Mother passed away at Concordia Hospital with family at her side. Mom was born in Winnipeg and married her childhood sweetheart (our Dad) Ed Murray (deceased) in 1935. Surviving are their two daughters, Lorraine (Val Kovachik), grandsons, Bob (Nancy), Jim (Evelyn) and Glen (Kay) Diane (Bill Evans), grandson Gordon (Debbie), granddaughters, Sandra (Ian Hunter) and Bonnie (Greg Block) and eight great-grandchildren; brother Jim Cordapel (Emeline) and sister-in-law Wanda Skuzanski; nieces and nephews. Mom was a devout Christian and lived her life as such. She was a member of St. Stephens Anglican Church and a past member of Patricia Chapter (O.E.S.). Mom worked at Zellers for 20 years earning the friendship and respect of staff. Family to her was of utmost importance and many Sundays we all enjoyed dinner at Grandma and Grandpas - not to mention holidays and birthdays. She was an avid gardener and loved her cottage at Grand Beach. In her earlier years she enjoyed travel and spent winters in Arizona. Mom was a gentle soul and loved caring for people and animals. She fed anything that walked, crawled, swam or flew. She had a zest for life and met challenges head on. We, her family cherish the fond memories and feel truly blessed to have enjoyed the love and life of such a wonderful Mother. We thank Dr. C. Isaac, staff of Concordia Hospital (3rd floor) and Mary Wirth. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Stephens Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. E.K. on Wednesday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations on her behalf may be made to St. Stephens Memorial Fund. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. Beloved Mother - you had a smile for every joy, a prayer for every misfortune, encouragement for our every challenge. Your strength, dignity, serenity and gentle grace were and will continue to be an inspiration to us all.
