Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED ALEXANDER GEORGE THOMPSON (LUPUND) April 15, 1933 - February 27, 2004 Peacefully with his family by his side, Wilfred Alexander George Thompson (Lupund) of Fairford, MB went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on February 27, 2004. Wilfred was born on April 15, 1933. He was a jack of all trades, who loved to be there for you when you needed him to fix things. Dad lived life to the fullest and was well known for his good sense of humour. He always put a smile on your face despite the situation. In his early years, Dad was employed by many of the surrounding farms in the St. Martin area. Later he worked with many construction companies, such as Com. Stock, City of Winnipeg, Borland, Nelson-River, Pourex Limited, also I.R.T.C., as general maintenance at C.F.B., Pinaymootang Education as a part-time janitor and gym-nite coordinator and Pinaymootang Band doing many odd jobs before retiring due to health problems. Dad leaves to mourn his loving wife of 39 years, Sarah; his children, Wilfred (Esther) Bruce, Fern (Mark), Karen, Byron (Valerie) and Darren (Selena) 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his stepfather Philip Sinclair; his sister Dorothy Eastman of Vancouver, BC; his brothers, Daniel (Marina) Sinclair and Ernest Sinclair, both of Winnipeg; his special aunts, Ruby Lafreniere and Ruth (Joe) Anderson; his special uncles, Roy (Priscilla) Thompson and Allan Thompson, all of Pinaymootang; his sisters-in-law, Olga Anderson, Mary-Ann (Cyril) Pahl, Sylvia, Darlene and Eleanor (Allan) McKay; his brothers-in-law, Robert Shorting and Allan Shorting; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dad was predeceased by his mother Christina, sister Zelma, his father John Sumner, brothers, Jim and Mark; father-in-law Philip Norman Shorting; mother-in-law Isabella; brother-in-law Arnold, all of whom he missed dearly. A special thank you to Dr. Allan, Dr. Bueti and their staff at 4-GA at the Health Sciences Centre, CancerCare Manitoba, Palliative Care program, Health Sciences Centre Central Dialysis at G-B 6 Unit, Ashern Dialysis Unit, all the health-care aides, Bekale Hailu, and to all who came to see Dad. May God bless you all. A wake service will be held on Monday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m., with Don Gould and Jim Anderson officiating. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford. Interment will follow at the St. Helens Anglican Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Durwin Sinclair, Danny Sinclair, Lawrence Thompson, Ernest Thompson, Darryl Hunter, David Bernard. The Crossbearer will be Eddie Thompson.
