ALEXANDER DAVID McLEAN (SANDY) June 16, 1943 - February 22, 2004 In London, England, at the age of 60, Sandy passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Sandy will be deeply missed by his wife Gillian and daughters, Lynn and Kate, residing in Chistlehurst, England. In Canada, he leaves to mourn his mother Joyce; sisters, Lynn (Brian) Pascoe, Effie (Burt) Hall; nieces, nephews, their children; cousins, Al Lowe, Joan Nowicki, Linda Ingram and their families. Sandy was predeceased by his father Alex McLean. Sandy was born in Kent, England and came to Canada in 1945. He attended Sisler High School and played football there. For a short time he worked at Burns Meats, then left to experience Europe. He spent most of the time in Kent, England, staying with his maternal grand-parents, the Ruskins. The evening before he was to return to Canada, he met his soul mate, Gill, to whom he was married for 35 years. Daughters Lynn and Kate arrived and Sandy made his home in England. He became an electrical designer in England and did the majority of his work for Arab countries. For seven years he worked out of Paris, France and flew back home to England for the weekends. Sandy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His passions were sailing and gardening. Sandy and Gill travelled extensively and came to Canada often. Flowers gratefully declined.
