HILDA AGNES RANSOME It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother at her home on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the age of 85. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lyle, Lorraine, Gary (Vi), Bryan (Bonnie), David (Susan) and Herb (Marian) grandchildren, Lance, Jody (Alan), Curtis (Camille), Brad, Tara (Peter), Kelly, Tiffany, Rodney, Sheila (Steven), Melanie, Scott (Caroline), Chris (Candace), Craig, Lisa, Sherry (Brian) and Duane and many great-grandchildren; sisters, Rachel Litton, Evelyn Hosertrawser, Mary Smart, Doris Stewart, Florence (Bob) Wilson and Ruth Smart and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, son Lance, four brothers and two sisters. Hilda Agnes Ransome nee Smart was born to David and Agnes Smart on January 18, 1919 at Rathwell, MB. She was one of thirteen children. She married Lance Ransome in 1943 and raised seven children. They lived in Rathwell moving to the Purves area where they farmed for ten years. They moved to Crystal City moving to Winnipeg in 1969 where she lived for the remainder of her life. Funeral services will be held at Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave. on Tuesday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
