Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY FRANKLIN DOERKSEN 1948 - 2004 Roy passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the age of 55 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Christine; his son Keith (Lori) Doerksen and granddaughter Payton; stepchildren, Christopher (Sylvia), Shawn (Rhonda), Colleen (Al), Patrick (Franki) and eight stepgrandchildren. Also surviving him are two brothers, Daryl (Cora) and Howard (Terrie) and two sisters, Joan Johnston (Dave) and Elaine Gitzel (Armin) and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Sylvia, his parents, Jake and Helen Doerksen; and three brothers, James, Allan, and Kenneth. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church in Carman with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment of ashes to follow in the family plot in Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, R3L 0K6 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or a charity of ones choice.
