DIANE KROEKER Her multi-coloured layers of clothing, dresses and coats, scarves and outlandish jewelry helped celebrate Diane Kroekers life. She lived every treasured moment to its fullest. Diane included everyone in her powerful world of love. To those of us who knew Diane as wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she was larger than life. She always had a reason to organize a party and celebrate. Her passion for connection with people was spontaneous and enthusiastic. She brought many different people into her world and had arms big enough to embrace us all. Married to Irv for 38 years, she enriched his life. Their love was endless with never a dull moment. From the time of her birth in New York, to her studies at DYouville College, Buffalo NY, to the time she met Irv in Spain and her move, lock stock and laundry, to Winnipeg, she maintained her feisty and independent spirit. She had the courage to butt heads with people, but did it courteously and with class so they could reach a compromise. Dianes family was her focus. The three Kroeker girls - Kirsten, Lara and Rebecca - were raised with the knowledge that they were loved more than words could ever say. Her grandchildren, Justin, Brendan and Zoe were the light of her life. She was everything to all of them. She shared a close relationship with her sister Maureen and family in New York, travelling back and forth countless times. She had wonderful experiences with her neighbours, travelled to more than 40 countries and maintained an ever-widening circle of family and friends. Diane explored her talents in many ways. A founding member of Trinity Television, she hosted the childrens program Follow Me; participated in Anglican Marriage Encounter with her husband; and helped expand the Outtatown program at the Canadian Mennonite University. She lived in the moment and contributed hands-on support to everyone she knew. No problem was too large to tackle. She listened intently, made connections and sought solutions and was the ultimate encourager. She organized parties, raised funds, helped others, babysat her grandchildren and made us all laugh. Diane is survived by her husband Irvin J. Kroeker and family: Kirsten and Bryan Albo with sons, Justin and Brendan; Lara Kroeker and Loc Dao with daughter Zoe; youngest daughter, Rebecca; plus sister Maureen Paulson with her husband Robert and three sons. We love her more than words could ever say. With Dianes rock solid faith in God, we entrust her to His care. She will remain with us, always. Services will be held at St. Johns Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave., 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004. Donations in memory of Diane can be sent to Trinity Television, 1111 Chevrier Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 1Y2. KLASSEN Funeral Chapel 1897 Henderson - North of McIvor - 338-0331
