Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY ADELAIDE LANGSTAFF December 8, 1927 Peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2004, our loving mother and grandmother passed into Gods hands at the age of 76 years. She will be sadly missed by her four boys and their spouses, John and Barb, David and Debbie, Peter, and Mark and Mieke, as well as her six grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her brother and his wife, Rev. Bruce and Ivy McNeill; her sister and her husband, Dr. Larry and Jean Matrick, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. George and Edith McNeil, as well as her husband Joseph. Shirley was born in Starbuck, MB and attended United College in Winnipeg. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the United College, Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Toronto, and her Masters of Social Work Degree from the University of British Columbia. She worked for many years at the Child Guidance Clinic in Winnipeg, and was very active in the United Church of Canada. She was an avid reader, loved bird watching, hiking, and camping. In her personal and professional endeavours she made many wonderful friends and acquaintances. Her family would like to gratefully thank the staff at the Central Park Poseidon Care Centre for their thoughtful and warm care. We wish her well on her journey and know that she will be watching over us always. A service will be held in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway on Saturday, March 6 at 10:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
