JACOB ARIE VANDER GRAAF (JAKE) June 20, 1920 - February 29, 2004 Jake went home to the Lord on Sunday, February 29, 2004 with his family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Corrie (deGroot) of 55 years; daughter Joyce Van den Berg; grandchildren, Andrew and Lisa, Angeline and Mike, Joel and Julie, Arlene and great-granddaughter Madison to whom he was very devoted. He was predeceased by his parents and son-in-law Peter. His servanthood was evident to his family and those who knew him well. Jake was born in Lydiatt, MB and moved with his parents to North Kildonan. After his marriage to Corrie they moved to East St. Paul. He was a market gardener for many years, and also a school bus driver for 22 years. Jake was a life time member of the Christian Reformed Church. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave., with Rev. Bill Tuininga officiating.
