FLORENCE COVERDALE (nee SPARBY) (FRED) Peacefully on March 1, 2004, Florence Coverdale passed away at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg She was predeceased by her loving husband William "Orme" Coverdale in 1971; her parents, Amelia and Albert Fred and two sisters, Gladys and Mildred. Florence leaves to cherish her memory her brother Charles Fred; daughter Dawn Smith and son-in-law Donald; son Charlie and daughter-in-law Marilyn and special nieces and nephews, Gerri, Elaine, Judy and Tom. Their dear grandma will be sadly missed by David, Andrea and Myles; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Jaymee, Cameron, Kristen, Riley and Renae. Florence was a kind and loving woman, generously giving of herself to others. She always took time to listen and encourage, always young at heart. She enjoyed many years spent at the cottage at Grand Beach with her family. She will be missed by all. Special thanks for the wonderful care she received from the staff at Riverview Health Centre. Friends may call at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, for viewing on Thursday (today) from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Following a private family interment, a memorial service will be held at St. Saviour Anglican Church, 690 Munroe Ave., on Friday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations in Florences memory may be made to Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg MB R3L 9Z9 or a charity of their own choice.
