HOWARD VICTOR HAWKEN On Friday, February 27, 2004 at the Tabor Home in Morden, Victor Hawken aged 71 years of Morden, MB. Victor is survived by three sisters, Margaret Louise Smith, Viola Grace Flowers, Ethel Marion Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his life partner Lorraine Hildebrand; one sister Beatrice; and one brother George. Victor was born and raised on the family farm in the Opawaka district. He was a lifetime farmer and retired to Morden in his later years. He was active in the community and served on various community boards. When he wasnt farming Victor enjoyed Hockey, Curling and Baseball. Funeral service will be held from the Miami United Church in Miami, MB, on Thursday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Interment will take place in the Miami Cemetery, Miami. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Associating, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
