YETTA FREEDMAN With sorrow, the family of the late Yetta Freedman, aged 88 years, announces her passing on March 5, 2004 at her home in Toronto. Predeceased by her loving husband Louis Freedman, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Rabbi Carla Freedman of South Salem, NY and partner Jeanne Shanin; daughter Phyllis Yaffe and husband John Feld of Toronto; granddaughters, Deborah Melman Clement and husband Tim Clement of Kingston, Rena Rubin of Toronto, and Sarah Yaffe of Montreal; and great-grandchildren, Jesse Rubin and Brianna Rubin of Toronto; and sister-in-law Celia Hornstein of Winnipeg and many devoted nieces and nephews. Yetta was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved all of her family dearly, and enjoyed nothing better than to feed them with her special recipes. Burial took place on Friday, March 5 in a graveside service at Rosh Pina Memorial Park in Winnipeg. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of choice. Shiva will be held until Friday morning, March 12, at 70 Rosehill Ave., Apt. 208, Toronto. 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
