AGNES VANDEL The family of Agnes Vandel, nee Bellec, is saddened to announce her death on March 2, 2004 at Tache Centre. Agnes was born on October 6, 1918 in St. Claude, MB where she grew up on the family farm. She left to attend Normal School in Winnipeg and upon graduation, returned to teach at Ecole Partheney. Her teaching career spanned many years, mostly in the Pine Falls area. Mom retired in 1974. In her spare time, Agnes enjoyed gardening, travelling, volunteering, knitting and needlecraft. Family was always very important to Agnes and her grandchildren brought her much joy. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Helene Batchelor (Bryon) and her grandchildren, Blair (Mia) and Alison Goodspeed (Jon). She leaves sisters, Sr. Helen, S.G.M., Germaine, Louise, Marie, Cecile and Therese and sisters-in-law, Helene, Marie, Therese, Angel and Antoinette. Agnes will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. She also leaves stepsons, Norman and Denis Vandel and their families. Agnes was predeceased by her parents and her husbands, Peter Pereux and Marcel Vandel and sisters, Valentine and Emily. Cremation has taken place. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, March 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Eglise du Precieux-Sang, 200 Kenny St., to celebrate her life. Interment will take place in Pine Falls at a later date. Thank you to our family for their support and to the staff of 3ABC Tache Centre for their devotion and excellent care of Mom.
