ROBERT DANIEL McMILLAN June 19, 1922 - March 3, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Daniel McMillan, Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Audrey (Rickard) of 52 years; son Rod of Ladner, BC; daughter Andrea (Mike) Hurst of Winnipeg; son Ryan (Heather) of Red Deer, AB; daughter Candace (Dean) Arnett of Orlando, FL; grandsons, Jayson and Devon Hurst, Christopher McMillan and Kenneth Arnett; brothers, Alvin, Norman and Bryon; and many special nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and close friends. Dan was predeceased by his father and mother, Thomas and Margaret (Atkinson) son Robert Craig (infancy) brothers, Dennis and Fred; brother-in-law Ronald Rickard; sisters-in-law, Elva McMillan and Dorothy McMillan. Dan was born in Mather, MB, June 19, 1922. He was the fourth of six sons. He married Audrey (Rickard) November 22, 1952. Dan worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway on the La Riviere to Napinka line, retiring in 1982 after 39 years. Dan remained active by assisting Fred Graham and Graham Funeral Services for 11 years. He was associated with Session (Council), Masons and Shrine. Dan loved to curl, golf, fish, took an avid interest in all aspects of his grandsons sports and lives. Always willing to lend a hand with neighbours and friends, he was respected and loved by all. "A wonderful husband, father and Poppa" "Our Wild Irish Rose" Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Crystal City United Church. Interment to follow in Crystal City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rock Lake District Hospital or the Handi Van Fund.
