Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY WURSTER Peacefully on March 4, 2004 at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, Dorothy Wurster of Ashern, MB, passed away at the age of 76 years. Dorothy was born on May 5, 1927 in the Carn Ridge District. She grew up on the family farm and attended Carn Ridge School. In 1947 she married Edward Wurster and together they farmed and raised their four children. Dorothy and Ed farmed together for the next 30 years before semi-retiring to Ashern where they continued to work. Dorothy and Ed were instrumental in helping to build the Ashern Legion, of which they were very proud. In younger years Dorothy loved to play the guitar, sing and dance. She enjoyed cooking and attending to her garden. She spent countless hours, sewing and knitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest love was her family. The family thanks the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg, and the Winnipeg Convalescent Home for the wonderful care they gave our mom, and the thoughtfulness they showed our family in our time of need. A special thank you to Pastor Kolleen for her comforting words and for the last Communion Mom received the night before her passing. It is deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten. Dorothy leaves to mourn her daughters, Sheila (Taras) Maydaniuk of Winnipeg, Sharon (Larry) Stinson of Winnipeg; son Don (Celine) Wurster of Grahamdale, MB; three brothers, Harry (Frieda) Klapprat of Winnipeg, Harold (Milly) Klapprat of Stonewall, MB, and Ernie Klapprat of McBride, BC; a sister Mae (Kasmir) Sokalski of Beausejour, MB; and a sister-in-law Helen Klapprat of Moosehorn, MB; her granddaughter Corrina; grandsons, Terry, Darren, Jeff, Scott, and Dan; great-grandchildren, Taryn, Tanya, Derrick, Gordon and Brett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2002; son Larry; brother Bill; sister Nora; and her parents, Ann and Daniel. Viewing will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB with Pastor Kolleen Karlowsky-Clark officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, in care of Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern MB R0C 0E0, or to a charity of ones choice. ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD.
