Date of Passing: Mar 03, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRYAN CAITHNESS October 25, 1942 - March 3, 2004 Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 3, 2004, Bryan passed away at the age of 61 with his loving wife, Gail, at his side in Abbotsford, B.C. Dad leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 43 years, Gail; his sons, Jim (Doreen) and Gordon (Karen) daughter Debra (Tony) grandchildren, Nicole, Kyle, Michael, Tyson and Dillon; his brother Norman; sister Beverley (Ed) brother-in-laws, Randy (Lee), Bruce (Donna) and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Alma and by his daughter Theresa. Dad lived in Winnipeg with his family all his life until he was transferred from CN to Via Rail in Abbotsford in 1988. He worked for Via until his retirement in 1994 and worked for over 31 years with the railways. Although Dads retirement was complicated by health problems, he greatly enjoyed his time with mom and he dearly loved and was proud of all his grandchildren. We will all miss him greatly. At Dads request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Our family would like to express our profound thankfulness to all the staff in Emergency and ICU at the MSA Hospital in Abbotsford for all their kindness and support during Dads illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dads memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We will always love and remember you dad. Rest in peace, and may we meet again someday in a better place.
