HENRY 1922 - 2004 Peacefully on Thursday March 4, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB, Tom Henry aged 81 years of Treherne, MB beloved husband of Beatrice Henry (nee Vennard). Tom leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his loving memory, his loving wife of 18 years, Beatrice (nee English/Vennard) Henry; his loving children, Gwen (Austin) Bigsby, Carol (Gary) Mathers, Darryl Henry and DArcy Henry; his beloved grandchildren, Aaron, Adrian, Austin Yuri and Gillian Bigsby, Shayne and Jason Mathers; his beloved great-grandchildren, Travis and Taya (Shayne) Mathers; his loving sister Alice (nee Henry) Watson; his beloved nephews and nieces, Doug (Sharon) Watson, Mel (Margaret) Watson, Bryan (Doreen) Watson, Shirley (Frank) Ennis, Audrey (Ray) Boux, Myrna (Don) Earle, Larry Henry, Danny Henry and Laura Lynne Henry (Roy). Numerous great and great-great-nephews and nieces. Also left to mourn his passing, his first wife Doreen (Knox) Henry of 28 years; and his sister-in-law Nel (George) De Graeve; Beatrices children, Wendy (Ted) Bartlett, Patrick (Cheryl) Vennard, Bill Vennard, Donna (Ernie) Kreker, David (Charlotte) Vennard; grandchildren, Matthew, Neil, Karlee and Julie Vennard, Emily and Nickolas Kreker, Brittney Vennard, Trevor (Angie) Bartlett, Michelle Bartlett, Melissa and Dillian Vennard; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Makayla Bartlett. Tom was predeceased by his precious daughter Shawn Henry (1973) his beloved parents, Samual (1979) and Laura (nee Woodward) Henry (1990) brothers, Frank (1966) and Lorne Henry (2002) sister-in-law, Elsie (nee Price) Henry (1971) brother-in-law Martin Watson (1995) nephews, Clayton (1979) and Ricki Watson (1978) niece Gaylia Watson (1947). Tom was a proud Canadian, who went to defend Canada along with many other brave young men in the Second World War and fought throughout Europe to help play his role in liberating the world from tyranny. He never told war stories but nevertheless took pride in having done his part. Funeral services were conducted in the Treherne United Church, Treherne on Wednesday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Haupt officiating Interment followed in the Rossendale Cemetery, Rossendale, MB. Dad The love of your family flows through these words, Your humble way was your greatest way. It inspired our actions, and guided our thoughts. You set an example and made a stand.
