JOHN HRYDOWY With sadness we announce the sudden passing of John (Jan) Hrydowy at his home. John was born in Western Ukraine on January 21, 1927. As a young man he served in the Polish Army during the Second World War. John immigrated to Canada in 1949 and worked as a serviceman for Winnipeg Transit. He retired in 1987 after 40 years of service. John was a very private person, but those that knew him will remember him for his generosity, kindness and quick humor. John leaves to mourn his brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews in the Ukraine, as well as his friends at the Ukrainian Canadian Legion Branch 141. Cremation has taken place. Interment of Johns cremated remains will take place in the family plot in Ukraine at a later date. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
