Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH SPITZER Peacefully, on Thursday, March 4, 2004, Joseph Spitzer, age 95 years, beloved husband of Rosalie, passed away at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Besides his loving wife, Joseph leaves to mourn Rosalies daughter Donna Fontara of Delta, BC, his brother Tony and nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Rosalies nephew Allan and wife Lorna of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers. Joseph was born February 10, 1909 and came to Canada in 1930, working as a farm labourer and then in a lumber camp as a cook in Sask. After that he came to Manitoba and worked at Manitoba Bridge and Engineering as an iron moulder for 25 years, retiring in 1974. Joseph loved to golf and he curled from the Thistle Curling Club. Joseph was an enthusiastic gardener who adored flowers and who grew prized tomatoes. In keeping with Josephs wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Flowers are gratefully declined and friends may provide a donation to the charity of their choice if they so wish.
