JOSEPH PATRICK BOUBARD On Sunday, March 7, 2004 at The Selkirk General Hospital, with his family by his side, Joseph (Joe) Patrick Boubard, aged 81 years of the Sagkeeng First Nation. Joe was born October 8, 1922 in the Sagkeeng First Nation and has resided there, until his untimely passing. Joe was a quiet man, with a great compassion, love and understanding for his family and friends. His home was always open to visitors and he would love to share a story or two about his travels, especially his trapping days. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Henry (Cecile), Felix, Art (Lorraine), Linda (Wilfred Swampy), Eugene (Geraldine) and Donald Abraham, his sisters, Margaret Chartrand and Virginia Bunn; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice; children, Nellie, George and Stanford, brother John and sisters Sara Swan, Pauline Guimond and Catherine Courchene. His pallbearers will be Lawrence, Dustyne, Wade and Art Jr. Boubard, Dale and Jed Swampy. A wake will begin Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. in The Christ Anglican Church Hall with the funeral service on Thursday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Anglican Church, Fort Alexander, with Rev. Nancy and Richard Bruyere officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted."
