SIGURDUR WALTER McNAB "SANDY" Peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2004 at Concordia Hospital, Sandy McNab passed away with his family at his side. His son Ross; his parents, Runi and Archie; brother John; and sister Elsie predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife Theresa of 57 years; sister Lona; his children, Denise (Rick), Bonnie (Al), Karen (Gord), John, Colin (Gayle) and his grandchildren, Cynthia, Troy, Melissa, Quinn, T.C., Nicki, Cortnie, Katie, Tristan, Conor, and many other family members and friends. Sandy was born in Lesley, SK on Thursday, April 3, 1924 and grew up in Winnipegosis and Piney, MB. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces in the Second World War. He joined the Winnipeg Police Service in 1947, and retired in 1978. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 81. In his retirement years Sandy loved to fish, golf, and garden at the trailer in Beausejour. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m., at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., with Rev. Gordon Shields officiating. Daddy...you suffered much in silence, your spirit did not bend, and you faced your pain with courage, until the very end. Our hearts will ache with sadness, and tears will flow, for what it means to lose you. No one will ever know. Peace is yours now. Love your family.
