KENNETH DALE LUCIER February 12, 1951 - March 7, 2004 It is with saddened hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Dale Lucier, aged 53 years, at his residence in Calgary, AB, formerly of Eriksdale, MB on Sunday, March 7, 2004. Beloved father of daughters, Sandi and Nadine and son, Clinton of Calgary, AB. Ken was born on February 12, 1951 at the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB. Son of the late Julia and Alexandre Lucier. He was also predeceased by his sister Doreen Howard of Calgary, AB and by his brother Frederick (Smokey) Lucier of Lundar, MB. Ken leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his beloved children, Sandi (Patrick), Nadine and Clinton, who were his pride and joy! Mother of his children, Susan; sisters, Jean (Hans) Wiedmer of Gimli, MB and Rita Lucier (Gordon) of Eriksdale, MB; brothers, Dave Lucier of Eriksdale, MB, Roy (Vida) Lucier of Eriksdale, MB; Edward (Glenna) Lucier of Grande Prairie, AB and Edwin (Jody) Lucier of International Falls, MN; brother-in-law Darwin Howard of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Marilyn McLeod of Lundar, MB; all his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; his godmother, Rose Lussier of Oak Point, MB; aunts, Beatrice Lussier of Lundar, MB, Alice (George) Hay of Osoyoos, BC and Agnes of Winnipeg, MB. Ken attended school in Eriksdale, MB. He loved to work on the family farm and with other farmers until he began working with various power line construction companies throughout the Canadian provinces and the United States. He started as a groundsman first and then became a linesman for many years until he became disabled. After a few knee operations, he worked for Vallard Construction, splicing wires to get them ready for the crews. Anyone who worked with him learned from his expertise of the power lines. Due to his practical jokes, the work days were shortened for many of his co-workers. Whether it be at a campsite or wherever he was, he always found time for a good joke and lots of laughter. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. His family wishes to thank his roommates for being there!!!!! "FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS, REST IN PEACE" "NO MAN HAS THE POWER TO KNOW THE TIME OF HOUR IT KIND OF MAKES ME WONDER WHEN THE GOOD OL DUDE UP YONDER WILL COME AND CALL ME HOME TO DWELL WITH HIM FOREVER" MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE ERIKSDALE RECREATIONAL CENTRE, ERIKSDALE, MB, ON TUESDAY, MARCH 16 AT 2:00 P.M. WITH JIM ANDERSON OFFICIATING. INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW AT THE ABBEVILLE CEMETERY. LUNCH WILL FOLLOW BACK AT THE HALL. The Urnbearers will be Kens godsons, Randy Wiedmer and P.J. Lucier.
