Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD (CLIFF) HARRIS On Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Selkirk General Hospital with family at his side, Cliff quietly passed away to rejoin his beloved wife Laufey who predeceased him on November 30, 1989. He was also predeceased by his brother Lyn in the same year. Cliff is survived by his four children, Lil (Ron) Walraven, Bob (Anne), Doug (Dorothy) and Carol (Bill) Malcolm; also his grandchildren, Darryl (Wendy), Paul (Christine), Michael (Lela), Patricia (Derek), Martin (Janet), Teresa (John), Jamie and Steven and great-grandchildren, Laufey, Lexie, Dillon, Sasha, Kaelynn and Matthew. Also surviving Cliff are his sister Myrtle Paterson and brother Will (Lil), as well as his sisters-in-law, Verma Zahorodny, Josie Harris and Betty Eyjolfsson; brother-in-law Gunnar Eyjolfsson (Evelyn) and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his "little dog" Sheeba. Cliff was born at Clarkleigh on December 26, 1914. He married Laufey Eyjolfsson on November 19, 1940 and together they raised four children. His happiest times were when he was cutting hay, mowing the lawn, picking berries or tending his huge garden. Father was an avid hunter and fisherman and had two Master Anglers hanging on his wall which he was very proud of. Cliff was a member of the Manitoba Wildlife Federation, the Lundar Ag Society and the Lundar New Horizon Senior Club. He was able to remain on the farm until January 7 of this year, when he moved to Tudor House at Selkirk. As per Cliffs wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 12 at the Lundar Legion Hall with Melanie Kauppila officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be his eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and also his nephew Lloyd Harris who was very special to him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lundar New Horizons Club, in care of Irene Bergthoroson, P.O. Box 258, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0 or a charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Tudor House for the excellent care that they gave our Dad during his short stay there.
