EMILIA "MARIE" JENNINGS (nee TERRICK) Peacefully on March 9, 2004, after a short illness, Marie went to be with the Lord. Left to mourn her passing is her devoted son David; her daughter-in-law Sheila and Sheilas daughter Julie DAvignon. Many of her friends and family will feel her loss deeply. For those people who had the honour to know her she will be remembered as a sweet and gentle lady. She delighted in her home, which was a window to her soul. Marie loved her garden and was a fabulous chef and baker. Her cookies were world class and the deliciousness of them will forever melt in the mouths of those who tasted them. Marie had a lifetime affection for her cats and other animals. Many a day one could be the recipient of her tales of her beloved pussycats named Tinker and Bootsie. Marie was a valued employee with MTS for 22 years, making many friends throughout her career. Many thanks are extended to the Home Care staff, especially Marlene and the nursing staff on the 5th floor south ward at the Victoria Hospital. Viewing will take place at Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Thursday, March 11 between 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 12 at the St. Vital Parish Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Morand officiating. For those who desire, donations may be made in Marie Jennings honour to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1.
