DOROTHY ANN BOLTON (ALBERTSON)
Date of Passing: Mar 03, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY ANN BOLTON (nee ALBERTSON) Peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Dorothy Bolton passed away at the age of 84 at the Riverview Health Centre. Left to remember her are her children, Garry (Shirley), Patty, and her sister Kathryn Grace Albertson of Toronto. Mom was predeceased by her husband Murray in 1974. Dorothy was an active member of the Rotary Anns, and she spent many hours volunteering at the Indian and Metis Friendship Centre. She was passionate about her cottage at Minaki, the many collies she raised, and her family and friends. Many stories were spun on the screened porch. Moms advocacy for the Minaki region inspired her to help in a successful lobby effort for the reduction of effluent into the Winnipeg River by a local mill, and led her to work at maintaining passenger train service to the area. It is with enormous appreciation for the excellent care given to Mom by the D-2 nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre that the family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude and thanks. Donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation in Ottawa or the Riverview Health Centre Foundation in Winnipeg. No formal funeral service will be held.
