FREDA MARTHA CARTHER (nee PLATO) Freda passed peacefully into Gods hands on March 8, 2004, at Victoria Hospital. Born on September 26, 1916, in Souris, MB, she spent most of her life in Winnipeg. For many years Freda played an active role in the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church Womens Circle. Freda was a devoted mother who chose to stay at home and lovingly raise her three sons. After her children had grown up and left home she began a career at Eatons of Canada. Freda was predeceased by her sister Elsie and brothers Bill and Harry. She will be deeply missed by those left to cherish her memory, husband Reg; sons, Barry, Ron and Warren; daughters-in-law, Lorraine, Shelly and Gerry; grandchildren, Chantal, Garrett, Trisha, Christopher and Reg; great-grandchildren, Nichol and Riana, as well as relatives spread across Canada and the USA. In addition, she will be missed by her many friends at the Lindenwood Manor where she had resided with her husband Reg. Freda will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family and friends. Her memory will be kept alive in the hearts of all those who were privileged to know and love her. The funeral service will take place at Glen Eden (three miles north of the Perimeter Hwy.)
