MARGARET MACLEOD ARMSTRONG 1924 - 2004 Margaret (Marg) Armstrong passed away on Friday, March 5, 2004 at the Foothills Medical Centre at the age of 79 years. Marg was born December 26, 1924 in Winnipeg MB to Charles and Catherine Reece. She moved to Edmonton in 1958 where she raised her family. Marg was very involved in her childrens activities, and maintained a keen interest and involvement in competitive swimming long after her children retired. She enjoyed a busy eleven years in medical records at the University of Alberta before moving to Calgary in 1992. Margaret will be sadly missed by her three children, Jeannie (Brian) McBroom of Canmore, AB; Tom of Calgary, AB; and Bill (Adhe) of Jakarta, Indonesia. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Robert and Kelly McBroom, Nicole and David Armstrong, Anisha, Shafira and Raiden Armstrong; and by her sister, Jean Florance of Indian Wells, CA. Memorial Services will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, 3219 - 4 Street N.W. (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6.
