Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryINGWALL MELVIN BROTEN September 11, 1912 - March 10, 2004 Ingwall was born on the farm where his parents Lars and Ingaborg settled in 1905. Except for the time that he spent in the army overseas from December 1942 to April 1946 he has always lived there. In 1985 he quit farming and in 1987 sold the farm except for the seven acres where he continued to live. This he sold in the fall of 2002. After surgery in November 2002 it was decided that he was unable to return to his home and was placed in Donwood Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. There he received wonderful care and enjoyed the attention and care given to him. He was the youngest child in the family; his brother Oliver predeceased him August 1988, and his sisters Inga Broten April 2001, and Tilla Hilton October 1992. He is survived by nine nieces and nephews, Verna, Kenneth, Leonard, and Ernest Hilton, Marilyn Peters, Kathy Thibault, Gerald, Kurt, and Danny Broten. Cremation has taken place and a private grave-side service will be held at a later date at Bethlehem Memorial Garden in Dacotah beside his parents, brother Oliver and sister Inga.
