JESSIE IRENE KEATS It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Jessie Irene Keats, on March 10, 2004 at the Victoria General Hospital, in her 92nd year. She leaves in loving memory son Gary (Gloria) of Winnipeg; daughter Heather (Frank) of Vancouver; grandsons, Brad Keats (Shelley) their four children, Katie, Dylan, Ryan and Kelsey; Darrin Keats (Kim Kirkpatrick) of Winnipeg, Jay Kohlman (Sarah) of Vernon, BC and Ryan Kohlman of Phoenix, AZ. Jessie was born March 15, 1912, the oldest of three children to William and Amelia Rose, one of the pioneer families of Ochre River, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Harold; brother Clark Rose; and sister Nora Dales. Her life was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family of nieces and nephews. As the wife of a "CN Railroader" she enjoyed many company transfers throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, and formed lifelong friends along the way. She and Harold retired to Langley and White Rock in 1968 and returned to their Winnipeg family in 1988. Our special thanks to the 5th floor care unit at Victoria General Hospital, and the homecare girls and staff at Catherine Place for their gentle care and attention to her needs. Cremation has taken place and at Jessies request, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, PO Box 2248 Stn. Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9 or the charity of choice. AFTERGLOW Id like the memory of me to be a happy one, Id like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. Id like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times, and bright sunny days. Id like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave When life is done. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
