JOYCE GUS Norma Joyce Gus, aged 72 of Lac du Bonnet, dearly beloved wife of Rafal passed away on March 11, 2004 at the Pinawa Hospital. She is survived by her husband Rafal; sons, Edmund (Rena) Gus, Steve (Lisa) Gus; her daughter Debra Schweder; her grandchildren, Melissa, Sasheen and Kolton (Schweder) Christopher Gus; son-in-law Willi Schweder and Aggie. Her brothers, George Clarke Jr. and family, Patrick (Elaine) Clarke and family, Phillip Clarke and daughter Shirley and family; and niece Carol Young and family. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Annie Clarke and her parents, George Clarke Sr. and Margaret Clarke. Joyce was well known in the political arena at all levels. She began her political career in the 1960s with the Manitoba Metis Federation and has been active since. Her lifes passion was to aid and assist all the people she could. Joyce was a kind, compassionate caring person who was loved and will be missed by many. She will also be missed by her "Bingo" buddies and close friends especially Florence, Leona, Elaine, Ruby and numerous others. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Notre dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church in Lac du Bonnet with Fr. Mirek Szynal officiating. Pallbearers will be Edmund Gus, Steve Gus, Christopher Gus, Kolton Schweder, William Schweder and Taynor Simpson.
