JOYCE MIKO (nee DUDYCH) On March 12, 2004 in the presence of her loving family, our mother and baba, Joyce passed away at the age of 62 years. Joyce was born February 20, 1942 in Winnipeg. She attended Hazelridge School and completed her education at Transcona Collegiate Institute. She worked at various jobs until her children were born when she devoted herself to raising her family. Joyce married Metro Miko on October 23, 1965 and was an active member of St. Josaphats Parish. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, eternal optimism, deep faith, silent strength and perseverance. She is survived by her children, Gail, Thomas (Heather), David (Donna) grandchildren, Alexandria, Kristen and Joshua; father Fred Dudych; brother Alan (Rosemary) Dudych; brothers-in-law, Wilfred Miko and Peter (Germaine) Miko; sister-in-law Venetta Baraniuk; numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Metro (1993) and mother Eva Dudych (2000). Prayers will be sung on Tuesday, March 16, at 8:00 p.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church (590 Alverstone St.). Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 17, at 10:00 a.m. also at the church, with Rev. Fr. N. Yakiwchuk officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darren Dudych, Robert Dudych, Terrace Miko, Don Saramaga, Rick Skura and Greg Wozney. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyces memory to a charity of your choice.
