PATRICIA JOAN LEE (nee Allen) 1931 - 2004 On Friday, March 12, 2004, Patricia Lee passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 72. She was predeceased by parents, George and Olive Allen, and her husband Charlie Lee. She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Judy (Harold), Catherine (Dave) and Linde (Brent) her brothers, Pete (Shelley) and Mike (Yvonne) her grandchildren, Debbie (Randy), Colin, Shawna, Erik, Sarah, Scott, Steven and her great-grandchildren, Angelica and Benjamin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Patricia was born on July 17, 1931 and resided in West Kildonan all her life. She was very involved in sporting activities from an early age, especially figure skating and downhill skiing, for which she won many awards. She began her working career as a secretary at the Winnipeg Arena. She held a number of secretarial positions over the years and eventually began her own business, Lee Office Services. She married Charlie Lee on June 30, 1950, following The Flood. Together they raised three daughters, Judy, Catherine and Linde. They spent many wonderful summers at the family resort property located near Stoney Point, which later became a Provincial Park and was named Patricia Beach for her, by her father. Pat was very involved in the volunteer community, especially with injured wildlife, Brownies and Guides. She spent many years curling at the Granite and West Kildonan Clubs, both as an accomplished curler and executive. Although challenged by ill health in her later years, Pat still enjoyed painting and playing the piano and accordion. Her happiest times were spent surrounded by family and friends. Special thanks to Home Care, in particular, Nancy Clark-Landry, Lisa, Betty, Emma, and Carol for taking such good care of our Pat. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Wednesday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricias memory to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities or the Manitoba Wildlife Rehabilitation Organization.
