FLORENCE MARGARET HARRIS December 19, 1911 - March 11, 2004 After a long and fulfilled life, Flo passed away. Mom was predeceased by her husband Ken and leaves her son Bob (Betty) granddaughter Laurie (Kelly) great-granddaughters, Katrina and Alyssa; granddaughter Nicole (Patrick) daughter Linda (Lyndon) grandsons, Ben, Curtis and Luke. Mom lived her life devoted to her family, church and friends. She served as a volunteer in numerous capacities, Grace General Hospital for over 30 years, ACW life member, Peoples Warden for St. Andrews Anglican Church, Alter Guild, Cub Scout Leader, baseball coach, March of Dimes and Heart Fund campaigns. She was one of the founding members of the "over 60 club". Her dedication to the church was honoured with an award for her many years of service to St. Andrews Anglican Church, she attended Synod, was on the Vestry for years and was active in many functions until recently. She was an avid baseball fan and pitched for the St. Boniface Athletics in the 1930s, which led to her induction into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003, with her proud family in attendance. Flo was a great bowler and received many trophies. Sports were important to her and she enjoyed cheering her grandchildren throughout their athletic pursuits. Any task she undertook was performed to perfection. Ken and Flo were a special couple enjoying a good time with many friends and family. She loved spending summers at West Hawk Lake (47 years). She was very proud of her family in all their endeavours. Gram will always be remembered and greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. St. Andrews Anglican Church , 2700 Portage Ave. Refreshments to follow in the Parish Hall.
