SHEILA JOAN SLONIM It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sheila Joan Slonim on March 5, 2004. She lived her life completely devoted to her family and sacrificed everything to keep her family together. She is survived by her son Ross and daughter Roxanne. Mom was full of life and love for human kind. Mom had many gifts. She was an accomplished pianist and had a beautiful singing voice. She had a grand sense of humour, loved a play on words and was very articulate. Mom was a devoted and loyal friend showing compassion and caring to all her many acquaintances. For many years she loved to entertain dinner guests and was a marvellous cook. Mom was generous to a fault and put her children first all of her life. She always remembered her nieces and nephews birthdays. Mom you will be in our hearts forever. She was laid to rest at a graveside burial service on Sunday, March 7 at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Gertenstein, Merril Shulman, Murray Nagler, Norm Oman, Allan Weinshenker and Monty Litinsky. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Morley Shuckett and Ben Chochinov. Many thanks to Morley Kurzer for saying mourners Kaddish for mom. Any one wishes to honour her memory, donations can be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
