RHONA A. CHALMERS (nee LONSBERY) Rhona Adelaide Chalmers of Belair, MB, passed away at the age of 86, on March 4, 2004, at Riverview Health Centre. Rhona was born in South March, ON, on December the 5th 1917. She grew up in and around the Ottawa area where in 1941 she married Jack, her beloved husband of 53 years. Jack and Rhona spent most of their working lives in the RCAF and retired in 1966 to Belair to enjoy the summers and to Lake Worth, Florida, to escape the Manitoba winters. Prior to her retirement, Rhona worked as the manager for Laura Secord in Winnipeg. Predeceased by her husband and her brother Lyle, she is survived by her loving son Barry; her grandchildren, Tina and John and her great-grandson Jake. Our family wishes to thank the staff of Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place with the interment of ashes to be at a later date.
