FERDINAND BINTZ Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, Ferdinand Bintz passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre, at the age of 83 years. His memory will be forever cherished by Anna, his loving wife of 55 years of marriage; daughter, Monika (John) Norris and their children, Justin and Sara; brother, Rudi and wife Ruth Bintz; sister-in-law, Paula (Erich) Metz and their family of Marion, Cameron, Jason and Tracy; sister-in-law Greti (Erwin) Stier. Born in Germany in 1920, Ferdinand moved to Winnipeg in 1951. Dad had a love for soccer, reading, the outdoors and in particular, a tremendous love for animals. Everyone who met Dad left with the same impression: that being a sweet, soft spoken man with a great sense of humour. He was known to everyone as Opa. At his request, cremation will be taking place and no formal service will be held. Thanks go out to all dear friends who visited him. Special thanks to Eberhard and Evelyn Krebs, Andy and Hanni Thanner, Rolf Lauterbach and family, who were beside him until the end. Our family would like to express our profound thankfulness to all the Charleswood Care Centre staff who extended kind, gentle and caring hands and made his last experience as comfortable and dignified as possible, and in particular, his angel, Ernesto. Special thanks to Dr. Dalling and the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ferdinands memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Div., 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. We will always love And remember you Dad/Opa. Rest in peace, and may we meet again Someday in a better place. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
