HAZEL KATHLEEN (KAY) BAILEY
Date of Passing: Mar 10, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL KATHLEEN (KAY) BAILEY On March 10, 2004 we said goodbye to our dearly beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Kay Bailey. Mom was predeceased by Dad, Garnet Hughes Bailey in 1983 and her son Gordon Hughes Bailey in 1999. She will forever be in the hearts of her children, Joan (Barry Mckenzie), William (Terry), Gary (Valerie), daughter-in-law Lorraine, Sharon (Ron Terleski), Bev (Bruce Thomas), June (Ron Ohta), Kirk (Carolyn), Don (Barb) and her 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Her younger sisters, Joyce and Beverly will cherish her memory always. Lifelong friend June Baswick of Calgary will miss her dearly. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg. Married in 1936 she spent the next four decades raising her children with love and patience. Shopping was always great fun but taking things back was her passion. Mom especially enjoyed spending time with her kids. She loved the large family gatherings, playing cards, going to bingo and the casino. She liked to remind us that "she loved all her children equally". Many thanks to the wonderful care givers at Misericordia Hospital Cornish Two South who made Moms last days as comfortable as possible and supported the family with compassion during this difficult time. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road, with Pastor Larry Ulrich presiding. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. "We will love you forever Mom" GREEN ACRES Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematorium Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin, 222-3241
