HEAVEN HAS A NEW ANGEL BARBARA "BABS" MAY BROCKHILL (nee PASSMAN) Our beloved wife, mother, baba and great-baba, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 3:50 a.m. at St. Boniface Hospital. Babs leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 49 years Arthur; her loving children, Kim Georgison (Ken), David Brockhill, Linda Chymy (Terry) and Dale DeGagne (Tom) her adored grandchildren, Chris Lenoski (Lisa), Kathryn Caners (Cliff), Jennifer Lenoski, Matthew and Kylee Brockhill, Tara, Samantha and Hailey Chymy, Dustin and Devyn DeGagne; and her crowning glory, great-granddaughter Tavia Lynn Caners; and forth coming child of grandson Chris (Lisa) sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Clark; sister-in-law Rose Passman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friends and Bingo buddies, Jenny, Edwina, Betty, Jean, Eleanor and Shirley. Mom was predeceased by her mother and father, Inez and Jack Passman; brothers, Allan and Frank; mother and father-in-law, Jeannie and James Brockhill; and cousin Marion Fiddler. Barb was born, in Estevan, SK and grew up in Winnipegs North End surrounded by a loving family. She adored going to Saturday movie serials with her hero brother Allan. Mom had great times going on the moonlight train to Grand Beach and dancing the night away with Art. Barb was a loving, devoted and caring wife, mother, baba and great-baba. She loved her winter vacations with Art. She loved Bingo and spending time watching her grandchildren grow up as they were her pride and joy. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit and especially to Lori at CancerCare, for their compassion, love, caring and respect. A celebration of Moms life will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, Mom requested that donations be made to the Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 39 Woodview Bay, Winnipeg, MB R3R 3C9. It was her greatest hope that a cure for C.F. be found.
