MARY IWASIW Peacefully on March 14, 2004, at Concordia Place Nursing Home in Winnipeg. Mary passed on to a greater being in her 86th year. Mary was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 1978; and her brothers, Paul, George, John, Bill, Mike and Nick Werstiuk. She will be missed by her daughter Carroll; her sons, James, Joseph and George; her daughter-in-law Sandra; her sister Helen Cukic; and her brothers, Harry and Sam Werstiuk. Mary was very close to her nephews, Paul Werstiuk and his family and David Werstiuk and his family. The family wishes to thank Paul, Lorraine and Kyle Werstiuk for the love and caring that they have given to Mary during her lengthy illness, and to Steve Washook (Nicholas brother) for his continuous commitment to Mary. A special thanks to Rev. John Friesen for the comfort he provided to Mary, and to the third floor staff of Concordia Place for the loving care that they provided. Mary will be laid to rest at the Poplarfield Cemetery, Poplarfield, MB in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation be made to a favourite local charity. A celebration of Marys life will take place at a later date.
